Terms of Use
Last updated: 13 September 2026. These Terms govern your use of Lexy on the website lexylearn.com, the web app at app.lexylearn.com and the Lexy mobile apps for Android and iOS (together, the "Service"). The Russian-language public offer is the governing contract under Kazakhstan law; these Terms are its English-language version for international users. Where the two documents differ, the public offer controls, except where these Terms describe rules set by Apple or Google for purchases made through their stores.
1. Who we are
The Service is provided by Language technologies Limited Liability Partnership (Language Technologies LLP / ТОО «Языковые технологии»), Tax ID (БИН) 231040018745, 14A Auezov St., Almalinsky district, Almaty, Kazakhstan, 050009 ("we", "us"). Contact: ai@lexylearn.com.
2. What the Service is
Lexy is a voice language-learning trainer. You talk out loud with an AI avatar that asks you questions and answers yours, then reinforce the material with exercises, audio dialogues and texts. Lessons are generated with the help of artificial intelligence: speech recognition, responses, translations and audio may contain mistakes, and the Service is a practice tool, not a certified language course or a qualification. A microphone is required for live lessons.
3. Accepting these Terms
By creating an account, starting a lesson or buying a subscription, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. You must be at least 16 years old, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
4. Your account
- The first lesson can be taken without an account. Further lessons require signing in with a Google account.
- Your progress, settings and subscription are linked to that account and are available on every device where you sign in with it, on the web and in the mobile apps.
- You are responsible for keeping access to your Google account secure and for activity under your account.
- You can delete your account at any time from the profile screen in the app. Deleting the account removes your progress and synchronized data. It does not cancel a subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play; cancel it in the store as described in Section 6.
5. Free lessons and subscriptions
A limited number of introductory lessons are free. Access to further lessons requires an active subscription. Current plans are monthly and yearly; the price and billing period are always shown on the purchase screen before you pay. On the website the reference prices are 10 € per month and 100 € per year. Prices in the App Store and Google Play are set in your local currency by the store and may include local taxes, so they can differ slightly from the website.
A subscription gives access to the lessons and lesson stages available in the Service for its duration. The content of the Service may change over time as we add, improve or retire lessons and features.
6. Purchases through the App Store or Google Play (mobile apps)
- Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase. The store, not us, processes the payment.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions bought in the mobile apps renew automatically for the same period and at the same price unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Cancelling. You can turn off auto-renewal at any time: on iOS in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions; on Android in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. After you cancel, access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Refunds. Refunds for store purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their own refund policies. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com (App Store) or through Google Play (Order history). We cannot issue refunds for store purchases ourselves. If a refund is granted, access bought with that payment ends.
- Restoring. Use "Restore purchases" in the app to reconnect an existing store subscription to your account, for example after reinstalling. One store subscription can be linked to one Lexy account.
- For App Store purchases, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Apple and Google are not responsible for the Service or for support.
7. Purchases on the website
Subscriptions bought on lexylearn.com or app.lexylearn.com are paid in advance for 30 or 365 days and do not renew automatically; to continue after the period ends, buy a new one. Refund requests for website purchases are handled under Section 5 of the public offer: send them to ai@lexylearn.com and we will reply within 10 days. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under the mandatory consumer protection law of your country of residence.
8. Acceptable use
When using the Service you agree not to:
- use it for anything unlawful, or to create, request or share abusive, hateful or sexually explicit content;
- try to access other users' accounts, get around access restrictions or subscription checks, or share one subscription between several people;
- copy, resell or redistribute lessons, audio or other content outside personal learning;
- reverse-engineer, scrape, overload or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure, including by automated means.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Where the breach is not serious, we will warn you first.
9. Content and intellectual property
The Service, its lessons, avatar, audio, texts, design and software belong to Language technologies Limited Liability Partnership or its licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use them for your own learning while these Terms apply. What you say in lessons remains yours; you allow us to process it as described in the Privacy Policy to run lessons and improve the Service.
10. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available but do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Live lessons depend on your internet connection, microphone and third-party AI and cloud providers. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the paid Service as a whole, we will tell you in advance and explain what happens to the remaining subscription period.
11. Liability
The Service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for results of learning, exams or decisions made on the basis of AI-generated content. Our total liability related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them, including liability for intent or gross negligence.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change materially affects paid subscriptions, we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect; continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan. We will first try to resolve any dispute by negotiation: please write to ai@lexylearn.com. If that does not work, the dispute will be heard by the courts at our registered location, unless the mandatory law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring it in your local courts.
